Dis-topia
An original musical written by Matthew Deegan, Robby Good, and Abigail Torrence
The frozen head of Walt Disney has been revived and has finally got to build his dream -- EPCOT, a futuristic city and the "ideal community" where he has complete control. Recent college graduate and self-proclaimed "Disney Adult" Vera Nelson is thrilled to move to Disney World with her father, but when she gets entangled with "The Lost Boys", a group of anti-Disney revolutionaries, she must attempt to retain her innocence while reconciling with the man her hero has become — and may always have been.
"Dis-topia" features 18 original musical numbers, with this production featuring a 16-person cast and a live 25-person orchestra. The show has been performed twice before, but this time the writers and composers are taking the helm. Matthew Deegan is directing, Robby Good is music directing, and Abby Torrence is performing while also assisting in the production process. The show will take place at 7PM on Saturday, February 17th and Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at the Hart High Auditorium in Santa Clarita, CA.
